Our Experience

Ferskos, LLC provides its biopharmaceutical clients with legal, business and regulatory services for all stages of the drug discovery process, particularly in the areas of government affairs and the process of strategic alliances amongst biotech and pharmaceutical companies, universities, and/or governments.

Our services include enhancing the initial entrepreneurial vision, assisting in early stage forming and planning. As companies mature, we help guide them through the R&D process, including clinical trials and finance. We have been working with more mature companies (in some cases since the early 1980s), advising on industry-specific issues including IP strategy, working closely with several patent firms in the US and Europe. We also advise on acquisitions, dispositions, collaborations, manufacturing, licensing and distribution agreements, government regulation and policy, dispute resolution and issues affecting scientists and universities, including bio-ethics, scientific misconduct, the application of government technology transfer laws and construction of facilities that need to be validated in several countries. For more than twenty years, we have been involved in issues related to the use of animals in bio-medical research and the transportation of animals, particularly non-human primates in compliance with the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species ("CITES").

For more than thirty years, the Managing Member of our firm has had extensive litigation experience, including trials, appeals and arbitrations. Please see the pages on our Case Highlights for more details.
