In an arbitration proceeding brought against the defendant, Rosario Epicureo, we prevailed on two separate claims on behalf of the Italian company Nuova Casa del Fungo E del Tartufo SRL and the Swiss company Cibo Vinum Import SARL, in obtaining awards respectively of EUR 868,711 (plus costs and interests at 9%) and CHF 542,995 (plus costs and interests at 9%).
Urbani Tartufi S.N.C.
Our client Urbani Tartufi (the world's largest producer of truffles) was the prevailing party in the decision (linked below). The court awarded attorney's fees, which is quite unusual in the American system.
This decision was based on various enforcement actions that Ferskos LLC brought on behalf of our client to enforce its trademark and to prevent unfair competition on account of a court ordered settlement agreement. As a result of this Report and Recommendation by the U.S. Magistrate Judge in the Federal Court for the Eastern District of New York, a permanent injunction was issued in favor of our client, Urbani Tartufi.
